Why Stira? Because we manufacture some of the safest and strongest loft ladder systems available so they feel like a set of stairs underfoot (as opposed to a ladder).

Our Stira Folding Attic Stairs come in a range of sizes to suit most homes, from 2-storey houses and bungalows, to 100 year old cottages and Georgian houses. Since 1982, we’ve seen it all and have produced a range to cover most scenarios.

Simply choose the Stira system that suits your floor to ceiling height, and then select your preferred trapdoor width. (for really high ceilings, be sure to check out our range of Semi-Automatic Stira systems to maintain safe and secure loft access).

Quick and easy to install. No preassembly.

Independently tested and certified to load capacity 150kg (inhouse tested to 190kg)

Stira – Designed for extra strength

  • Unique inner frame
  • Unique wraparound hinges making the ladder solid under foot
  • Extra strong outer frame
  • 98mm recessed steps with dado joints, glued and nailed
  • High density timber sourced from renewable forests

Sometimes, one of our standard range Stira systems will not quite meet your requirements. Not a problem, because we are manufacturers, we can provide a bespoke solution for you. Whether it’s extra high ceilings, different frame size, or a larger trapdoor, we can manufacture a loft ladder system to meet your specific needs. Please contact our custom service team for any bespoke requirements.
